As a Qualified Accountant in our Accounts & Business Advisory Department in the South-East, you will support with a portfolio of clients across a variety of industries. You will take responsibility for successfully delivering accounting engagements within agreed timelines, including client and team communications, planning and execution of audits and accounting engagements, and supporting the team.

In terms of qualifications, we want to ensure we are offering the best service to our clients so an accountancy qualification such as ACA, ACCA or CPA is essential for this role alongside experience within an accountancy practice. We will provide you with ongoing mentoring and coaching as you continue to develop personally. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Mentor and guide trainees and junior staff.
  • Client management, including monitoring of deadlines and managing workflow.
  • Preparation and Review of sole trader and company Financial Statements, under relevant accounting standard and in compliance with Companies Acts.
  • Understanding of relevant taxes and the tax system, including VAT, Payroll, RCT and income taxes.
  • Managing key relationships with external parties such as clients, revenue and internal departments including tax, company secretarial and corporate recovery.
  • Business development, identify new business opportunities.
